Silver Duke of Edinburgh 17th May

Mrs Helen Murray, the Duke of Edinburgh coordinator, gives advance notice of the time for the coach departure that will  take the Silver Duke of Edinburgh cohort to the Norfolk Broads for their qualifying expedition: it will leave the Redgrave Sports Centre at 5 pm on Thursday 17th May 2018.

She asks that parents and carers ensure their children are there by 4.45pm at the very latest.

The coach journey will take approximately 3 hours, so she advises that all students eat before arriving at school.

The arrival at the campsite is scheduled for Thursday evening to enable the students to have a full day on the Broads on Friday, therefore, they will need to bring two extra meals: one to have when they arrive at camp and one for breakfast in the following morning.

The return is scheduled for 5 pm on Sunday 20th May 2018:eta 8pm at GMS.

All the students have shown great team spirit and endurance throughout their training and practice expedition. It is exciting for the organisers to share the final part of the journey with them.
