The Year 11 French cohort attended a GCSE French Student Conference run by PiXL at the University of Reading, just before the Easter holiday.
The students experienced listening to a series of lectures and seminars, which equipped them with a range of strategies and techniques to enable them to maximise their exam performance in each of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The GMS candidates were given an invaluable insight into how to improve their French skills for the examination, in an out-of-school environment.
The PiXL lecturers commented on the linguistic ability and positive attitude of our students. They were a credit to GMS.
