A Nephrology Expert Visits Year 13 Biologists

On Monday 21st March, Year 13 Biologists had their knowledge on kidneys put to the test by Margaret Townsend, an expert in the field of Nephrology, from Wycombe Hospital.
The structure and function of the kidney is an important part of the Year 13 Biology specification and featured heavily in the students’ most recent mock exam.
The students had the opportunity to ask questions and saw what an artificial kidney, that is normally attached to a dialysis machine, looks like.
The Science Department would like to thank Margaret enormously for taking time out of her busy schedule at Wycombe Hospital to come and talk to the students.
