Imagine being told your beautiful toddler had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. This is what happens to parents when their child is diagnosed with Rett’s syndrome.
In our own small way, GMS can support Rett UK by highlighting the work the charity do. A second way is to raise money to help fund the charitable work Rett UK does to help struggling families faced with this devastating.
Rett syndrome was identified in 1966 by an Austrian doctor, Andreas Rett. Genetic but not hereditary, it can occur in any family Up-to-date statistics state approximately 1 in 12,000 baby girls born each year have Rett syndrome.
