Hockey Report- Great Progress

Hockey at GMS is going from strength to strength, thanks to our fabulous coaches- Mike Urvin, Nigel Woolven and Andy Bull. At first  training took place at Marlow Sports Club. The coaches began with the basics, but it was not long before the quality of the hockey playing became better: week by week improvements were made. GMS were training with Borlase, which meant there was a larger group size. Even after a month there was a marked difference in the way the girls performed.

GMS had their first national game against London Freeschool where the performance of GMS was exceptional leading to a win. After a term, practice sessions moved to the all weather astro-turf at GMS, where Mr Clarke conducted a warm-up session, prior to the coaching officially starting at 5pm, when Borlase pupils reached the school. Much praise is due to the coaches who have trained the teams so expertly, GMS and Borlase administrators, and all the supporters of the team.
