Children’s Books – Learning is Fun in the English Department!

This autumn term a number of Year 7 pupils have created their own delightful children’s books as part of an English Department project.

The results are truly amazing. Pupils produced beautifully crafted, illustrated books, written in language appropriate vocabulary for a younger age group.

The English Department were so overwhelmed with the quality of the books, and the care that was taken in their production that they invited some small children into GMS see the books, and hear the stories being read by their authors.

As a result of all the effort invested in this project by the pupils, the English Department have decided to run a competition; the first prize will be a £10 book token, and the second prize a £5 book token.The winners will be announced and awarded their prizes in assembly next week.
