Record-Breaking GCSE Results Maintained

GMS’s GCSE results published today match the record-breaking scores of last year. Great Marlow is delighted with the fact that 69% of Year 11s achieved five or more A* to C grades, including English and Mathematics. Almost half of pupils achieved 5 or more A* – B grades – an astounding new GCSE school record.

A smiling, Acting Headteacher, Linton Nash said, “These results, against a national picture of grade turbulence, reflect very positively the efforts of pupils, teachers and parents.”

He congratulated his staff who had the vision to give pupils the ambition to aim high and the confidence to do so. Pupils now believe they can achieve the higher grades, “They are disappointed with a B grade when a few years ago they would have been satisfied with a C grade,”  said Mr Nash.

He congratulated his pupils for making the most of the opportunities they have been given and thanked the parents for all the support they gave in the process.
