A-level Results 2022

At Great Marlow School, we are absolutely delighted with the fantastic results achieved by our Year 13 students.  Our largest cohort of students has earned our best set of results, the last two years aside, with students across the board achieving A-level and BTEC results to shout about. They should all be incredibly proud at the end of a very challenging two and half years.

156 students were entered for Level 3 qualifications, significantly a massive 20% of all grades awarded were at A*-A.  In addition, almost half of all grades were at A*-B and three-quarters of all grades were at A*-C.

Kevin Ford, Headteacher, said, ‘I am incredibly proud of the students who have attained these fabulous results and the staff who supported them. Our students have been ambitious, despite a very trying two years for the whole country.  A huge reservoir of resourcefulness and resilience has resulted in this set of outstanding results.’

Owen Hollyman, Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, said, ‘It gives me immense pleasure, and a huge sense of pride, to see the fruition of the students’ endeavour and resilience throughout their KS5 studies. Many of our students set high personal goals in terms of the grades to which they aspired and the universities to which they set their sights on accessing.  It is wonderful to see so many of our Year 13 cohort being able to accept offers from a wide range of institutions including Russell Group destinations such as The University of York, The University of Leeds, Loughborough University and Southampton University. With the strong results that the Year 13 students have attained, the vast majority will be able to accept their first-choice university destinations or prestigious offers of employment.’
