At Great Marlow School, our Music Department strives to create musical opportunities for all students. To support our diverse curriculum, the Music Department offers a variety of extra-curricular clubs and events throughout the year, ranging from inclusive concerts to small chamber festivals to Great Marlow School festival.
In the academic year 2021-2022, the Music Department have enjoyed multiple concerts, and have many more events planned for the 2022-2023 academic year. Concerts this year have included:
· Cookham Music Festival
· Multiple concerts for local primary schools
· GMS Festival
GMS is proud to have good peripatetic music teachers specialising in instruments including: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, violin, piano, acoustic/electric guitar, ukulele, drum kit and voice.
Lessons take place during the school day on a rota system. Any student wishing to start peripatetic music lessons should contact reception and ask for a music lessons application form. If you would like to learn an instrument that is not listed above, please contact the Music Department.
