Great Marlow students excel at Model United Nations
For the seventh year running, students from the Citizenship Department at Great Marlow School have completed a fantastic year’s work in the Buckinghamshire Model United Nations. Nine students from Year 9 have been acting as delegates to the United Nations, completing a profile of the country they are representing and a position paper on their country’s attitude towards sustainable consumption.
The climax was a grand event: a whole day Model United Nations in The Oculus, Aylesbury Vale’s District Council chamber. Congratulations to all nine students who took part so enthusiastically. It was a great opportunity for them to develop their skills in public speaking, research, critical thinking and advocacy. We look forward to participating again next year!
