The Little Match Girl

Forty one, very lucky students, were taken to see a performance of ‘The Little Match Girl’ in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in London.
The music, puppetry and dark magic captivated the audience, in this modern take on a classic short story. The message that modern truths sometimes should remain hidden was very clear to the audience.

The touching story was delivered in such a way that it remains memorable weeks after the event: at times the performance made the audience laugh, at other times cry.

The students were a credit to the school, mature enough to appreciate that they had benefits of seeing a first class performance even though their peers were enjoying the half day that the final day of term brings.
