FoGMS Update

Friends of Great Marlow School have raised an incredible £7394 this academic year and wish to thank all the families, friends and members of the wider community who have supported their events in order to achieve this.
Much of this money has been spent, for it is raised to benefit the children. FoGMS recently purchased six new outdoor table tennis tables and 18 additional outdoor benches for the students to use and enjoy. A recent post on the website had pictures of the children using the tables, situated in the newly gated area by the basketball courts.
The outdoor seating is yet to be placed, but we hope this will happen very soon so that as the warmer weather approaches they can be put to good use.  FoGMS also bear the cost of  the lease for the new minibus for another year.
Finally, they have purchased new plants for the refurbished outdoor area near the main hall.
They are not resting on their laurels, however, and have some fantastic events lined up for the rest of the year.

  • Marlow 5 sponsored run Sunday 13 May
  • Mums Annual Netball tournament Sunday 13 May
There are several other ways in which you can also support the school with fund raising:-
  • Sign up to Easy Fundraising https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/gmsbucks/  every time you shop online do it via this platform and the school to earns commission at no charge to you.  To date we have 196 members. As there are so many families in the school, should more sign up the FoGMS funds would increase considerably, just from shopping. Of course, extended friends and family can also sign up at no cost to themselves: please pass the details on.
  • Purchase your school uniform from our FoGMS stall at parents’ evenings.
  • Simply make a one off donation via the school website – click on the “Donate to Friends of Great Marlow School.
