The Child Development Department is diligent in pursuing ways to enlighten the students who opt to follow this popular course, especially as many chose to enter a career that have children at their heart: creche worker, child minder, midwife, nanny, nursery nurses, social worker, teacher.
Just recently, a former student of Great Marlow Student, Shaohlin Samuel John, came in to visit; she had studied Level 3 Childcare at GMS. Primarily, she came to talk to the GCSE Year 10 cohort about their Research Task. However, she also could give an insight into Child Care opportunities after school, as well as college or university life, time management, handling the work load and dealing with the demands of placement. The visit was invaluable as it widened the horizons of the Year 10s.
The Child Development Department and GMS thank her for giving of her time.
