The annual Tanzania Charity Week is underway this week. The Year 8s have a reputation for being inventive with the fund raising activities they organise. Along with the always popular cake sales there is a Staff verses Students Karaoke; Doughnut eating Competition; and Sponge the Teacher, an event that was particularly successful last year.
After months of thought and preparation the students are working this week to make the events enjoyable and successful. It is the week when the rest of the school community become involved. By engaging with the activities the Year 8s have organised, money will be generated that will support the education of two Tanzania children.
GMS ask that the school’s wider community do all that they can to support all the Year 8s, their tutors, and Miss Hunt in making this charity week an amazing memory.
