Yr 11 Houses of Parliament Trip

The Citizenship Department is conducting a Year 11 trip to the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 10th October.
The students will have the opportunity to explore the heart of democracy in the United Kingdom, it is important for  our students to appreciate how parliament works for their GCSE examination. They will participate in a workshop on ‘Laws and Debating’ and be given a guided tour by the Parliament Education Service. Our local MP will also be available to answer questions.
The trip, covering coach travel, will only cost £13 per student. The coach will leave GMS at 8.30am to be in good time for the tour that is scheduled at 12.15. Staff and students will return to school directly after the tour. However, we advise students to take some food with them in case traffic is bad and are not back in time for lunch.
