Ergo Challenge 2017

As in all previous years the 2017 Ergo Challenge is open to all students. There are Amazon vouchers as prizes for the top three male and female contenders in Years 7, 8 and 9: £ 15 for first place, £ 10 for second and £5 for third.
The GMSBC have organised the indoor rowing challenge over four week this year, in order to prepare a Great Marlow team for the National Indoor Rowing Championships on December 8th. This prestigious event is being held at The Olympic VeloPark, Lee Valley in East London.

Over lunch times on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, through to half-term, there will be rowing machines on the stage in the school hall. Students are invited to compete for the prizes of amazon vouchers and a place in the school team for December.

Qualification for the Nationals.

The top 8 students in each classification will be invited to represent the school at the Nationals on Saturday 8th December.

Year 7 – 25th to 27th September. Students will be assessed as to how far they can they row in 2 minutes (Week 4)
Tuesday- Forms G, T, M
Wednesday– Forms A, R, L
Friday- Forms O and W plus any repeats or missed the chance candidates.

Year 8 – 2nd to 4th October- Students will be assessed as to how far they can they row in 3 minutes (Week 5).
Monday – Forms G, T, M
Tuesday – Forms A, R, L
Wednesday- Forms O and W plus any repeats or missed the chance candidates

Year 9 – 9th to 11th October.  Students will be assessed as to how far they can they row in 4 minutes (Week 6)
Monday – Forms G, T, M
Tuesday – Forms A, R, L
Wednesday- Forms O and W plus any repeats or missed the chance candidates

KS 4 and 5 and anyone who wants another chance can row from 16th to 18th October.
