Uniform & Belongings

Dear Parents and Carers,

In the recent successful Ofsted, we were proud of our school and of our students. To build on this success, it is our wish that the high standards in attendance, behaviour, being properly equipped and wearing the correct school uniform continue into the next academic year, because this gives each and every child the very best chance of learning well and achieving their very best.

Over the summer, when you make the annual trip to the shops to source uniform and school shoes, please would you be mindful of the school uniform policy, which can be found under,

School life —> Uniform & Jeweller tab because wish to avoid unnecessary confrontations with students in September.

School shoes are particularly expensive, but we have had issues in the past with parents and carers spending a great deal of money on footwear that does not take note of the Uniform Policy. We very much wish to avoid this as it places the school at odds with the student, something none of us seek as it creates an unproductive, negative atmosphere.

If you do decide to allow your child to have additional piercings please ensure that they are removed for school. This will be strictly enforced in September.

In September, students not correctly attired for lessons will be withdrawn from general circulation until the issue has been fully resolved. Again, I should stress that this is absolutely not what we want: good attendance to school and to lessons is of paramount importance to us.
