Year 11 Leave GMS

Friday 26^th May saw Year 11 completing their English Literature examination and then congregating in the canteen for a short break, Mr Ford even provided ice lollies! Students then started to retake their seats in the hall for the final assembly.

Typically, the assembly is a chance to look back on the memories created during the last 5 years at Great Marlow and I hope the students found this to be the case, even if there were some embarrassing photos shared! Trying to ensure that we had matched the right child from their Year 6 intake day to the student they had become in Year 11 proved very tricky in some cases. The Year 11 tutors recorded a personal message for each of their groups and I would personally like to thank them for all their hard work.

To finish the entertainment and for many the highlight was archive video footage taken by Mr Ross of Bucks Fizz’s “Making your mind up”. This caused a great deal of laughter alongside attempts to work out who was involved and what they were wearing. I really appreciate the effort of Mrs Wheeler in editing and recording the final video footage.

I would like to wish all the students a long, happy and safe summer and I their results in August will be testament to their hard work and that of their teachers.
