Hockey Tournaments

There have been a series of hockey successes over the last few weeks.

Firstly, the Year 8 hockey girls won the District Hockey Tournament, just recently. The competition the teams faced was formidable, so this win is a ‘real feather in their cap’.

The Year 8 girls also took part in the IN2 Hockey Regional Tournament this week. They finished as one of the top eight teams in the South of England, as the only state maintained secondary upper school there, this is an achievement to be proud of. The girls came second in their group and drew to the eventual winners of the tournament.

The Year 7 girls have also been successful. They finished 3rd in the District Hockey Tournament for their year group and also made it to the IN2 Hockey Regional Finals. Finishing 5th in their group placed them in the top 14 ranking of teams in the South of England.
