Year 11 Business Enterprise

The Year 11 Business students raised an amazing £649.21 over the course of two days to help the local food bank charity the One Can Trust. As part of their Business Studies course, the students ran a number of micro enterprises during break and lunch over two days in February and decided to donate the profits, totalling £649.21, to helping some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the local community. Andy Ford, a Trustee of One Can, visited the school on 7 March to receive a cheque from the students and commented, ‘One Can provides an average of 300 emergency food bags each month for disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Marlow and across South Bucks. The money the students have raised is going to make a huge difference and will have a really positive impact in the local community’.

Andy also said ‘I was really impressed with how much the students had been able to raise and delighted that they showed such interest in the trust’.
