FoGMS PTA Fund Raising Goals for 2016/2017

Friends of Great Marlow School recently had their AGM and they are pleased to report that there was enough support to continue the good work FoGMS does for another year.

FoGMS works closely with the school to help enrich the students’ educational experience.  Previously, they have raised monies for a complete refurbishment of the lighting and sound system in the school hall; new outdoor seating for students; new equipment and kit for various sporting activities; new equipment for the music department; money to support an overhaul of the environmental area; and much more.

This year the school have approached us with a specific need to replace the school minibuses. The current lease for the old minibuses is now coming to an end and the school need to look at various options for transport going forward. The school minibuses are used for a huge variety of reasons including school trips and not least of all to transport our many competitive sports teams around the county to compete at events.

FoGMS have agreed to help fund minibuses but they need everyone’s help to do that.  The FoGMS commitee have planned some fantastic events throughout the coming year, not least of all our Beer and Band night this coming Saturday – tickets in advance are £10 and available from www.stormflies.com

If for any reason you cannot attend this Saturday but would still like to make a contribution to our fundraising goal then please send in your donations.  

Cheques should be made payable to FoGMS.  Envelopes should be clearly marked “FoGMS donation -Minibus” and given to the finance office.
